N22 Baile Bhuirne to Macroom Road Development - Advance Civil Works

The N22 Baile Bhuirne to Macroom Road Development involves the upgrade of the National Primary route which runs from Cork City to Tralee to dual carriageway, by-passing Macroom, Baile Bhuirne and Baile Mhic Íre. This Contract involves the Civil Works required to prepare approximately 22km of rural hinterland and some existing rural road junctions between Baile Bhuirne and Macroom in County Cork for the main road development works. The Civil Works will generally consist of the following: Project Supervisor Construction Stage (PSCS) duties for the Contractor’s own scope as well as third party scopes; fencing to secure the entire route & provide interim farm access; general site clearance; fencing of compensation habitats and traffic management. Third Party Scopes (for which the Contractor will be PSCS) include: advance ecological surveys and habitat works; archaeological testing; geotechnical site investigation; diversion of utilities.
