Tender description

The UK is one of the world’s leading destinations for Foreign Direct Investment. In 2015/16 alone the UK attracted 2,213 investment projects from overseas which created 82,660 new jobs (https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/dit-inward-investment-results-for-the-tax-year-2015-to-2016/department-for-international-trade-inward-investment-results-2015-to-2016). As a critical enabler to this success the Department for International Trade currently provides support to organisations looking to invest in the UK throughout the investment lifecycle. The services provided include the marketing of the UK investment proposition, provision of insight and support to DIT staff globally in delivering investments into the UK and identification, account and project management of prospective and active overseas investors. As set out in the Building our Industrial Strategy green paper, the department is reviewing how to focus this support on inward investment that most contributes to wealth creation for the UK. The department will be hosting a series of supplier engagement events in Summer 2017 to outline its future model and to identify organisations currently, or potentially interested in, delivering the required services.
