SOG-ESC-T-PRIAULX LIBRARY-BOUNDARY WALL REPAIRS

Tender description

The works will involve erection of scaffolding and shoring to the boundary wall which is approximately 21m long and 3.5m high. Bricks which have decayed further than 35mm from the face of the wall are to be removed and replaced. Mortar joints which are decayed to a depth of greater than 35mm are also to be deep tamped. The head of the wall is then to be removed and replaced with new brickwork and a brick coping detail. The mortar to the granite plinth to the base of the wall on the road side is also to be raked out and the joints deep tamped with lime mortar. Please note bricks for the repairs will be supplied by the Employer, free of charge.
