Velindre NHS Trust [as hosts of NHS Wales Informatics Service] is seeking to procure an Enterprise Master Patient Index (E-MPI) software/IT product and associated project implementation and maintenance services. Velindre NHS Trust [as hosts of NHS Wales Informatics Service] is seeking to procure an Enterprise Master Patient Index (E-MPI) software/IT product and associated project implementation and maintenance services. The E-MPI may be used by Local Health Boards in Wales and other NHS Bodies and extended to other public sector organisations delivering healthcare services. Services may be required in respect of the delivery,hosting or service provision of the E-MPI and in relation to its integration or interoperation with other NHS Wales systems and software. The Welsh E-MPI will support the data integration efforts and data accessibility projects, which will allow health professionals to share and access patient relevant data, which are held in dispersed cross-care healthcare systems (Patient Information Access). The E-MPI will provide tools and mechanisms to identify flawed patient identity data items and supports on-going data cleansing and data improvement cycles within local organisations (Patient Information Quality).
