Advocacy Services - Invitation to Attend Supplier Engagement Day

Can you provide a variety of statutory Advocacy services to Adults and Children? The London Borough Bromley is keen to engage with suitably experienced advocacy providers in order to produce cost effective, outcome focused, collaborative approaches to advocacy services. Advocacy, in its various applications, helps individuals to self-advocate, become independent, have their voice heard and to know and assert their rights. The impact of not providing Advocacy services would leave service users who are vulnerable and unable to self-advocate at a disadvantage and without support to identify and apply their own rights to their daily lives. This could leave individuals at risk of potential abuse, harm or neglect. Advocacy is a necessary form of safeguarding adults and children. The London Borough Bromley will be looking for an organisation or lead organisation to deliver its statutory advocacy services from April 2018. These Advocacy services are likely to include the following; Care Act Advocacy, Independent Advocacy, Mental Health Advocacy, Independent Mental Health Advocacy, Independent Mental Capacity Advocacy, Independent Health Complaints Advocacy services for Adults as well as Children’s Advocacy. The Council will be holding an Advocacy Provider Engagement Day on Tuesday 16th May 2017 from 10.00am to12.00 midday in Committee Room 1, Bromley Civic Centre, Stockwell Close, Bromley BR1 3UH to help inform and guide providers around the procurement and service requirements of this tender and the next steps. Organisations wishing to attend the engagement event are required to return the Register of Interest Form via the Portal by Wednesday 10th May 2017.
