Tender description

Objective 1. Characterisation of BCG-Induced protective cells. By characterizing the incomplete immunity induced by BCG, we may be able to design improved vaccines which stimulate better or additional long term memory responses. A prerequisite for this is more tractable measurement of long term memory responses in cattle, and understanding BCG protection in mice is an optimal approach to achieve this. One of the approaches being undertaken is RNA-Seq & combined bio-informatic analysis on highly specific T cells from immune mice, isolated by flow cytometric sorting.
