The Client is City of Wolverhampton Council (CWC), delivering new council housing development on a site at Burton Crescent, Heath Town Ward, Wolverhampton, for management by Springfield Horseshoe Housing Management Co-Operative (SHHMC). This is a high profile activity for CWC and the selection of appropriate partners is critical to its success. Delivery of good quality, cost effective housing is key to achieving the Client’s aspirations. The Client intends to bring forward this site for residential development for which Employer’s Agent services will be required to progress the schemes from feasibility stage through to completion of the defects period. In addition to the sites identified, we require the employer’s agents to manage the contract for a single storey extension for office meeting space for the SHHMC, currently located at 27 Burton Road, Wolverhampton, WV10 0EG. This is to replace the existing portacabin facility currently on the development site (Site A – Appendix B). Delivery of good quality, cost effective housing is key to achieving the Client’s aspirations. The Client will work with the project team throughout the design stage to optimise the balance between cost and quality, ensuring that the final product provides a good launch for the Housing Company, whilst delivering a viable development. It should be noted it is the intention that this requirement for Employers Agent Services will be awarded to a single supplier who will be responsible for the delivery of the entire tendered works requirement. The Consultant will be required to have sufficient capacity to provide Employers Agent Services for all areas of the site simultaneously if so required.
