Delivery of Explorers Modules to Schools

Invitation to Tender to deliver Explorer Modules and associated deliverables to schools on behalf of the Marine Institute. The Explorers Education Programme™ aims to build on Ireland’s marine and maritime heritage by increasing awareness of the value, opportunities and social benefits of our ocean wealth and identity. The centres are responsible for coordinating the delivery of marine based teaching modules to primary school classes. The Explorers modules include: Aquariums in class, Fieldtrips to the seashore, Marine projects (Biodiversity project ; Hydrothermal Vents & technology project; Ocean Acidification project; Marine Litter project), and Marine workshops. The delivery of modules is funded by the Marine Institute. The centres also provide support in meeting the Explorers Education Programme™ mission statement and goals. Applicants that have an interest in working for the Marine Institute as an Explorers Education Programme™ Outreach Centre to provide Explorer modules and associated deliverables to primary schools in Ireland are invited to apply for funding in the following counties: Mayo-South, Sligo, Donegal, Dublin, Wicklow and Kerry.
