Who Speclialist Work With The Specialist will be working with the Housing and Land Team within GLA (Greater London authority) for the gathering of information and development of RfP document for London's Property Portal What Specialists Work On Conduct discovery to build robust RfP for new tender for Property Portal 1. Meet and lead workshop with City Hall’s business teams to understand and capture user needs relating to new functionality for the Property Portal. 2. Challenge staff’s perceptions for the requirements but instead champion the user and encourage the further understanding in building a picture for development requirements. 3. Translate functional requirements and user needs into clear and accurate user stories and acceptance criteria that can be used to develop and test against. Where the Work Takes Place City Hall, The Queen's Walk, London, SE1 2AA Early Market Engagement Working Arrangements Onsite 5 days a week from 24 April 2017 -05 May 2017 Expenses will have to be pre- approved before submitted Work Location City Hall, The Queen's Walk, London, SE1 2AA Security Clearance Additional T&Cs Skills & Experience Three or more years’ business analysis experience in a digital and/or technical project role Experience of running workshops and discovery sessions to efficiently and thoroughly prompt thought and gather requirements. Thorough experience with writing user stories and acceptance criteria. Confident and practiced in challenging and persuading people, including senior staff and those highly focused on the businesses needs rather than the users Stakeholder focus - listening to and understanding the needs of those the work impacts and Communicating and influencing presenting information and arguments clearly and convincingly so that others see us as credible and articulate, and engage with us. Strategic thinking understanding of the bigger picture to uncover potential challenges and Problem solving analysing and interpreting situations from a variety of viewpoints and finding creative, workable and timely solutions Research and analysis gathering intelligence (information, opinion and data) from varied sources, making sense of it, testing its validity and drawing conclusions that can lead to practical benefits. Organisational awareness understanding and being sensitive to organisational dynamics, culture and politics across and beyond the GLA and shaping our approach accordingly.
