Tender description

The contract with the Ministry of Justice (the Authority) for the provision of Benchmarking in relation to prison food (the Contract). The Contractor's scope of work is to (1) compare the prices the Authority is to pay for food products to be supplied to prisons (pursuant to a contract awarded by the Authority) with the data the Contractor holds as to the market cost of those food products or food products within the same categories and (2) using this comparative data, track changes in the market price of those food products or categories, review proposed changes in the prices to be paid by the Authority and produce reports as requested by the Authority. Full details of the scope of work is set out in the Specification. The anticipated term of the Contract will be 4 years from the service commencement date with the option to extend for: (a) a period of 1 year (i.e. 4 + 1); or (b) a period of 2 years (i.e. 4 + 2); or (c) a period of 2 years and a subsequent period of 1 year (4 + 2 + 1); or (d) 2 periods of 2 years (4 + 2 + 2); or (e) 2 periods of 2 years and a subsequent period of 1 year (4 + 2 + 2 + 1).
