Tender description

The service will increase the capacity of SME's (employing less than 250 employees) to grow in regional, national and international markets and to engage in innovation processes. In particular the service will facilitate the economic exploitation of new ideas and foster the creation of new firms, utilising the established business incubation units located across the area, and focus on economic and jobs growth in established businesses. The service will be funded by the European Structural and Investment Funds (ESIF), the Authority, partner Swindon Borough Council and via private sector funds through a match grant fund, built into the cost model of the service. The business support service provider (s) will: — Have extensive experience of business support. — Fully understand and work collaboratively within the Swindon and Wiltshire Growth Hub model of business support delivery. Evaluation of the project will be undertaken as below: — The Business Development sub group reporting to the LEP will monitor the progress of the project against targets. — This will be in the form of a project report to the LEP subgroup on a monthly, annual and end of project report. — The Growth Hub Governance Group will have an oversight of project progress. — The project will be evaluated on the basis of its success in achieving the defined outputs, alongside commentary on the impact of the output achievement upon the business.
