Tender description

The FFSLR Service will be used to support the estimated 47 000 field force officers with the delivery of an efficient and effective Field Force operation, which is essential to helping achieve a high overall response rate for the 2021 Census. The FFSLR Service will cover the 2021 Census in England, Wales (through the Office for National Statistics (ONS)) and the 2021 Census in Northern Ireland (through the Northern Ireland Statistics and Research Agency (NISRA)). Note This Prior Information Notice (PIN) aims to give the market advanced warning of a future procurement. This PIN is not intended to be a call for competition, nor is it intended to be used to reduce the procurement time-scales. It is intended that a Contracts Notice will be published to formally announce the call for competition. No action is currently required from the market as a result of this PIN. The scope of the FFSLR Service comprises 6 main elements: 1 — Source non–technical, non-paper supplies required by the Field Force; 2 — Pick and pack supplies; 3 — Deliver initial supplies to the Field Force; 4 — Replenish requests from the Field Force for replacement supplies; 5 — Carry out secure collections from designated areas; and 6 — Collect & return high value supplies at the end of operations. The additional provision of a Field Force support service is being considered by the contracting authority.
