Tender description

An Post is considering commencing a competitive procurement process to appoint a supplier by Q3 2017 to provide services to meet its requirements for the provision of Mail Automation Equipment Maintenance Services. An Post has 22 (NEC and Selex Elsag) Letter and Flats Sorting Machines in 4 Mail Centres located in: a) Dublin Mail Centre, Oak Road, Dublin 12; D12 V4AC. b) Cork Mail Centre, Euro Business Park, Little Island, Cork; T45 X376. c) Portlaoise Mail Centre, Father Brown Avenue, Portlaoise, Co. Laois; R32 A32F and d) Athlone Mail Centre, Athlone Business Park, Dublin Road, Athlone, Co. Westmeath, N37 FF68 plus 2 conveyor installations 1 each located in Dublin and Portlaoise. Introduction An Post, established in 1984, operates the National Postal Service, along with an array of money transmission, savings and retail services throughout Ireland. In addition, An Post provides agency services for Government Departments and other bodies. As a national service provider, An Post services over 2 200 000 delivery addresses daily and in excess of 1 700 000 customers each week through 1 135 retail Post Office outlets nationwide. An Post has an annual turnover in excess of 800 000 000 EUR.
