Tender description

Herefordshire Archive Service collects, preserves and makes available for research the archives produced by a wide range of individuals and organisations in Herefordshire and the diocese of Hereford. These functions incorporate several interconnected activities: • Accessioning - the receipt and logging of archives transferred to Herefordshire Archive and Records Centre (HARC) • Cataloguing – describing archives so that they can be accessed • Preservation/ conservation – archival storage, packaging and repair of documents Currently, these processes are carried out by means of disparate paper based systems and general electronic applications.
