253_17 Hire of Haulage (with driver)

Tender description

In this present instance, ESPO is working on behalf of Leicestershire County Council and Leicester City Council to undertake a procurement process to identify and appoint a number of Contractors to provide a hire of haulage service with driver. The vehicles and their operators will largely be hired for the collection and delivery of aggregates, and to undertake the removal of spoil (construction waste including hardcore, road planings, tarmac, top soil, etc) from various locations within the Leicestershire County Council and Leicester City Council boundaries and delivery to appropriate waste disposal sites as directed by the Customer. The Framework will be for a period of 3 firm years with an option to extend for a further 12 months dependent upon the performance of the Contractor. Lot No: 1 - Leicester City Council Lot No: 2 - Oadby & Wigston Borough Council and Blaby District Council Lot No: 3 - Charnwood Borough Council Lot No: 4 - Melton Borough Council and Rutland County Council Lot No: 5 - Harborough District Council Lot No: 6 - Hinckley & Bosworth Borough Council and North-West Leicestershire District Council Area Lots to contain a list of the following vehicle types:- - Up to 5 tonne carrying capacity tipper lorry - 6-12 tonne carrying capacity rear tip lorry - 6-12 t. carrying capacity rear tip lorry with insulated body ( and rear discharge chutes) - 6-12 t. carrying capacity rear tip lorry with grab / clamshell - 6-12 t. carrying capacity three way tip lorry with insulated body - 13-16 t. carrying capacity rear tip lorry - 13-16 t. carrying capacity rear tip lorry with insulated body (and rear discharge chutes) - 13-16 t. carrying capacity rear tip lorry with grab /clamshell - 18-20 t. carrying capacity rear tip lorry - 18-20 t. carrying capacity rear tip lorry with insulated body - 18-20 t. carrying capacity rear tip lorry with grab / clamshell - Flatbed Lorry - 2-3 t. carrying capacity (with HIAB) - Flatbed Lorry - 8-10 t. carrying capacity with minimum 7m body length (with HIAB) - Flatbed Lorry - 16 t. carrying capacity (with HIAB) - 9 tonne carrying capacity 'hotbox' lorry The framework agreement has the option to extend for up to a further 12 months.
