Tender description
The Secretary of State for the Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO), the Secretary of State for the Department for International Development (DFID) and the British Council (BC) (the Procuring Bodies) have a requirement for global, secure, resilient, flexible and scalable voice and enterprise wide data network communication services. These services are required to connect ministerial headquarters and other head offices in the United Kingdom with their respective embassies, consulates and other office locations totalling approximately 550 sites in 170 countries. It is currently envisaged that this requirement will be split into lots covering (1) Network services and (2) Voice services. See Lots for further detail. The Partners have a requirement for a global, secure, flexible and scalable voice and enterprise wide data network connectivity services linking their ministerial headquarters and other head offices in the United Kingdom with their respective embassies, consulates and other office locations totalling approximately 550 sites in approximately 170 countries throughout the world. Network services will include: the provision of data network services (wide and local area), internet access, encryption, network optimisation, access to cloud providers. The Partners have a requirement for a global, secure, flexible and scalable voice and enterprise wide data network connectivity services linking their ministerial headquarters and other head offices in the United Kingdom with their respective embassies, consulates and other office locations totalling approximately 550 sites in approximately 170 countries throughout the world. The Voice services will include: the provision, maintenance and support of required infrastructure (e.g. handsets, PBXs), call handling (e.g. contact centres), unified communication tools and cloud based telephony solutions. The Procuring Bodies envisage that there may be opportunities for the Voice services to retain elements of the current core Mitel telephony solution.
