Tender description

Transport Infrastructure Ireland (“TII”) was established as an independent statutory body under the Roads Act 2015, merging the National Roads Authority (NRA) with the Railway Procurement Agency (RPA) with effect from 31 July, 2015. The body's primary function, under the Roads Act 2015, is to secure the provision of a safe and efficient network of national roads. For this purpose, it has overall responsibility for the planning, supervision of construction, road network management and maintenance on national roads. TII is also the infrastructure provider for Luas – Dublin’s light rail system – which commenced operations in 2004. Luas Cross City (‘LCC’) comprises the next phase in the development of Luas.
