Tender description

The Forestry Commission has awarded framework agreements for various fencing installations, access management installations, miscellaneous maintenance operations and signage installation, issued in 9 lots across West England Forest District. The Contractor will be expected to erect and maintain high quality, robust fencing around hazardous features that exist around our estate. These features are usually mines or quarries but on occasion may also include buildings or other earthworks. Recreation maintenance operations. New fence-line erection and access operations on the Bristol and Mendips Beat. New fence-line erection and access operations on the Savernake Beat. Fencing and maintenance operations in the South Devon Beat area. Fencing and maintenance operations in the North Devon Beat area. Fencing and maintenance operations in the Cornwall Beat area. Fencing, maintenance and signage operations in the Forest of Dean area and Herefordshire woodlands. Also the installation and maintenance of entrance barriers and other obstructions to unauthorised vehicles. An on-going programme of work to remove redundant fencing from the Forest of Dean. This is primarily old restock fencing — rabbit, deer, and stock fencing which is frequently found in poor condition and partially overgrown.
