Tender description
This Request for Tender relates to the provision of a Carbon Navigator Training Programme. Carbon Navigator is a farm management tool developed by the Irish Food Board "Bord Bia" in conjunction with Teagasc, the Irish Agriculture and Food Development Authority, which allows farmers set improvement targets in key practical management areas to help deliver results in Cattle enterprises in terms of environmental and economic performance. Applicants under the Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine's Beef Data and Genomics Programme are required to complete the Carbon Navigator course in conjunction with an approved advisor. Applicants under the Knowledge Transfer Programme will be required to complete in conjunction with their approved facilitator. This tender concerns the training of those advisors. The Beef Data and Genomics Programme will run from 2015 to 2020 and aims to address Climate Change issues while improving the genetic merit of the national suckler herd.
