Liverpool City Council is undertaking an appraisal of options for the future operation and management of its Lifestyles sports and leisure centres. These Lifestyles centres are currently operated and managed directly by the City Council. The centres are an important component of the excellent provision of leisure and cultural facilities in the City. They provide affordable opportunities for a diverse range of people of all ages to participate in sport and leisure activities and to benefit from a healthy lifestyle. 1 outcome of the appraisal may be agreement, by the City Council, to an alternative delivery strategy for the operation and management of some or all of the Lifestyles Centres. It is anticipated that any contract awarded for the operation and management of the Lifestyle centres would be awarded as a service concession. It is anticipated that the length of contract will be up to a period of 25 years Subject to the outcome of the appraisal and the City Council deciding to market test the operation and management of the Lifestyles centres, it is anticipated that any procurement process is likely to commence in June/July 2016.Any new arrangements for the operation and management of the City Council's Lifestyles Centres is likely to begin in January/February 2017.To express your interest in this opportunity,your company will need to register on Pro Contract(formerly ‘The Chest') procurement portal which is operated by Sourcing Solutions (Due North).
