Tender description

Overview: The Trustees of the Cardiff University Pensions Fund (CUPF) invites tenders for the provision of scheme administration, pension and actuarial and consultancy services (Lot 1) and for the provision of investment consultancy services (Lot 2) for a period of 3 years from 1.2.2016 with a provision for the contract to be extended for a further periods up to a maximum of 2 years in total on mutually acceptable terms. Constitution of the Fund: The scheme is a defined benefit scheme and provides benefits for non-academic staff and some academic staff of the sponsoring employer, Cardiff University. The final salary section of the scheme was closed to new members in 2011 and new employees are enrolled into the new Career Average Revalued Earnings (CARE) section of the scheme. The scheme is governed by a Trust Deed and Rules. Under the Pensions Schemes Act 1993 (as amended) members are contracted out of the State Second Pension (S2P). The Fund is a registered pension scheme for the purposes of the Finance Act 2004. The Trustees are responsible for the administration and investment policy of the Fund.
