Tender description

The service will help offenders supervised by the Probation Trust, the Community Rehabilitation Company or people at risk of offending to access suitable accommodation or remain in their own homes, reduce the risk of re-offending, avoid eviction and homelessness and reduce the need for more intensive support. The Making Safe element of the service enables perpetrators of domestic abuse to access alternative accommodation and support in order that women and their children can remain in the family home. It is a crucial component of the separately commissioned Making Safe service for women and children. The service offers 2 3rds managed accommodation, a focus on education, training and employment including a volunteer programme, gender specific services and additional short term intervention support for offenders in both Elements 1 and 2. The contract will run between 1.10.2016 and 31.9.2019. The Council wishes to award a contract for Housing Related Support Services for Offenders. Maximum funding available is 484 800,00 GBP per annum for the 3 year period. Overall total for these 3 years is 1 454 400,00 GBP.
