Tender description
Is Scotland Fairer? The state of equality and human rights in 2015 is the Equality and Human Rights Commission's Scottish standalone supplement to our statutory five-yearly report on equality and human rights progress in England, Scotland and Wales, Is Britain Fairer?. In 2010, the Commission produced its first progress report on equality, entitled How fair is Britain?, followed by the Human rights review in 2012. Is Britain Fairer? was the Commission's follow-up report on both equality and human rights. The full reports and executive summaries of Is Scotland Fairer? and Is Britain Fairer? are available in PDF and Microsoft Word formats at http://www.equalityhumanrights.com/about-us/our-work/key-projects/britain-fairer -0 While progress has been made in a number of areas, more needs to be done to make Scotland a fairer society. It was highlighted that there is a need to improve the evidence base and the ability to assess how fair Scottish society is. This piece of research aims to address some of the evidence gaps around the experiences of hate crime, discrimination and attitudes towards Muslim people, Jewish people, Gypsy/Travellers and Roma people in Scotland.
