Tender description
Kingdom Housing Association, working in partnership with Fife Council, is in the process of delivering new affordable housing throughout Fife and these properties form part of that programme. The Dunfermline area has a high need for affordable housing. Under the terms of the Section 75 agreement for the overall site, there is a requirement for Persimmon to deliver 56 affordable housing units. Fife Council have determined that Persimmon should deliver the affordable units through a negotiated agreement with KHA. The Contract is for the design and build of 56 new affordable housing units. The site is to be acquired by KHA from Persimmon Partnerships. It is a requirement of this sale that the design and build contract be awarded to Persimmon. This contract can only be awarded to this particular operator and, therefore, KHA have used the negotiated procedure and published a VEAT notice. Ref: 2016/S 395-039642 on the 4.2.2016.
