This tender is for the supply of Natural Stone Materials ONLY. Below is an outline of the project for information only* These environmental enhancement and traffic calming measures form part of a 2 Phase project on Blundells Road in Tiverton, Devon, England. The proposals for Blundells Road lie between Heathcoat Way and Tidcombe Lane with minor works on Tidcombe Lane. They consist of creating a 20mph zone with road humps and table tops coupled with junction improvements and lengths of carriageway narrowing. Outside of Blundell's School the carriageway narrowing will involve widening of existing footways using natural stone kerbs, channels, slabs and setts, all supplied by Devon County Council. To complete the scheme there is the installation of a Puffin Crossing, realignment of school accesses and a small element of landscaping. The County Councils aim is to work with the winning contractor to provide the local community and Blundell's School with an attractive, traffic-calmed environment enhanced for all to use and enjoy. Other elements include: Carriageway surfacing and regulating works Highway drainage Existing services diversions Street lighting Highway landscaping Working and coordinating statutory undertakers and other contractors
