Tender description

South Lanarkshire Council is looking to procure the construction of a new carriageway and associated works for the Cathkin Relief Road as 1 of the programmes under the Glasgow and Clyde Valley City Deal. The works will consist of the construction of a new 1,6km length of single lane 7,3m wide carriageway between the Cathkin By-pass and Mill Street, Rutherglen and will include the creation of 3 new junctions at Burnside Rd / Cathkin By-pass, Fernhill Road and Croftfoot Road / Mill Street / Blairbeth Road. The works will involve major earthworks, drainage, carriageway construction, street lighting, landscaping and noise structures.
