Tender description
Introduction Cork City Council wishes to install an audio system into the Council Chamber in City Hall. This Request for Tender (RFQ) outlines Cork City Councils requirements and invites tenders from qualified and experienced companies. The keys issues that will need to be taken into consideration are. Seating and lectern arrangements can be different for each meeting. Lecterns and seating may be moved over the course of the meeting. Meeting duration can exceed 6 hours. Cables cannot be run on the floor for health and safety reasons. Requirements • Each individual microphone (mic) will have a series of buttons on the base. a) request to talk button b) voting buttons labelled abstain, for and against c) in attendance button o When the request to talk button is pressed an indicator light with turn on at the top of the mic o Pressing the request to talk button places the person in the queue to talk o The meeting chairperson can then accept the queued speakers in order o The meeting chair can turn off a speakers mic • Audio system to include speakers located in the chamber to allow all individuals in the chamber and galleries to hear proceedings. • Audio system to allow for other source input(s) for example from a laptop, iPod, mP3, etc. • A deaf loop is to be incorporated into the audio system • 43 mics are required (3 fixed) (37 mobile) (3 wireless hand held) • Audio system should provide a minimum of 4 group outputs to provide for possible future video streaming of council chamber proceedings. • An automatic camera selection system whereby the camera will automatically point to the speaker will be allowed for as an option (excluding wireless mics) • Design, supply, installation, training and a five year warranty/maintenance programme must be priced.
