Tender description

Proposed heating replacement programme comprising approximately 2 881 properties throughout the Dumfries and Galloway area. Priority is for the replacement of existing back boiler systems with condensing boilers and new radiators. Other systems will include the replacement of existing electric storage with gas condensing boilers, installing air source heat pump systems to rural homes where gas is not available and undertaking heating upgrades to void properties. The works will also include pre and post RdSAP energy efficiency ratings, installation of low cost measures such as insulation and energy advice. Testing and reporting on the existing electric wiring and the provision of hard wired CO detectors will also form part of the works. The Contractor will be expected to assist in accessing grant funding for energy efficiency measures and carbon savings.
