Tender description

Birmingham City Council is looking to commission a Project Manager to provide effective project management to support the preparation of the two Masterplans. The Project Manager will support the City Council by managing interrelated and parallel streams of work delivering the Birmingham Hospitals and University Masterplan and the NEC Masterplan. The role will be 3 days per week (or equivalent to meet workload demands). The individual proposed for this role should have experience of managing programmes of work- including the preparation of masterplans- across the urban environment, liaising with a number of stakeholders and statutory authorities, and all aspects of project management. The Project Manager will require the following skills: - handling project administration and provide a project delivery plan that clarifies the work scope, responsibilities and relationships - ensuring appropriate information is available – or causing it to be collected transmitting information between the client and the rest of the team in both directions - being responsible for appropriate day-to-day decisions and ensuring they are effected smoothly monitoring progress of all aspects of the project - acting as a single point of contact co-ordinating all the threads of the project controlling and working within budget - managing scope and change control process - monitoring resource availability, performance quality and document/ data transfer - managing and fostering relationships with partners, clients, and stakeholders working to procure consultants as required - preparing progress reports - co-ordinating the work of project steering groups (including chairing and leading project meetings as appropriate), and supporting the Project Board (consisting of senior representatives from the stakeholder/partners) If you are interested in submitting a quote please click on the following link to access Birmingham City Council’s tender Portal: https://in-tendhost.co.uk/birminghamcc/ and submit your details to register as a bidder.
