Environment Agency - Haulage and Disposal of silt dredgings

Tender description

Haul and dispose/recycle river dredgings from Easthorpe, Bottesford. The Environment Agency's internal field team are removing the excess amount of silt/weeds from the River Devon and stockpiling them on site. This silt needs to be hauled and disposed/recycled away to an appropriate landfill/recycling site. The silt analysis has indicated that it contains certain hazardous elements that indicates that it needs to be disposed to hazardous landfill site. The access track is adequate for 8 wheeler haulier lorries and we will have an inhouse excavator to load the silt on to the haulier lorries. Post code for site is NG13 0DU. The supplier should have a waste carrier license and the silt treated or disposed at registered recycling/landfill site. The winning supplier will be requested for evidence of Public Liability insurance.
