Tender description

Continuous Weight Measuring Device A set of 24 continuous weight measuring devices with integrated stand are required to operate in an experimental glasshouse environment, beneath large soil modules in which a wide variety of horticultural and arable crops will be grown (see schematic). The purpose of the devices is to enable the determination of water balances within the soil modules. The measurement devices will need to be linked to a data logging system which is compatible with a LemnaTec data management system in the glasshouse, and must be portable in the sense that they can be moved when not in use. The facility will be located in close proximity to Cranfield airfield, thus the measurement system will need to have sufficient screening to avoid radio interference.
