Achieving for Children (AfC) is seeking expressions of interest from eligible providers to operate and deliver youth provision with aspects of community work to be provided across Kingston and Richmond out of the following centres. — Hampton Youth Project, 32 Tangley Park Road, TW13 3HY, Richmond. — Dickerage Sports and Community Centre, Dickerage Road, KT1 3RU, Kingston. — Kingsnympton Youth and Community Centre, Kingsnympton Park Estate, Kingston Hill, KT2 7RR, Kingston. The contract will be issued for a three (3) year period with possible extension for one (1) further year. 2. The aim of the Youth Service is to support young people aged 11 - 24 years with a primary focus on 11-17 year olds, in their transition to adulthood and independence through: — Providing them with fun but purposeful personal and social development opportunities based on their needs and interest; — Empowering them to reach their full potential; — Helping them to critically evaluate their experiences — Developing citizenship; — Developing their capacity to make informed choices; — Prevent and reduce risk taking behaviours and build resilience; — Enabling young people to develop citizenship skills locally; — Encouraging and engaging them in service design, decision making and evaluating services that affect them and communities they live in; — Referring young people where appropriate to targeted youth work interventions provided by AfC Youth Service; — Work with AfC and partners to ensure the safety and welfare of children and young people.
