Multi-dwelling buildings construction work

Tender description

The demolition of the existing Print Works building and ancillary structures, remediation and preparation of the site, completion of the design, construction and 12 month defect rectification of 39 apartments, being a mix of 1 and 2 bedrooms, together with associated external works and mains services connections. Anticipated duration of Contract is 18 months construction and 12 months defects. Procurement documentation may be obtained from Capita Property and Infrastructure Limited as described above. The form of contract will be JCT Design and Build Contract 2011 with all current amendments (or similar) and a Schedule of Amendments bespoke to the works. The contract for the works are proposed to be undertaken in a single phase, however the construction and management of the works may be phased to accommodate access to the retained retail and residential units in close proximity to the site. A Contract Guarantee Bond of 10 % of the Contract Sum will be required throughout the Contract Period, to be released upon issue of the Statement of Completion of Making Good Defects. Sub Consultant and Sub Contractor Collateral Warranties will also be required for design work and for key subcontract activities including demolition and site remediation.
