Tender description

This PIN is issued by the DfE to engage with the market about the procurement of a full internal CAT A and B fit-out of a 23 000 sq m Grade II listed office building in first quarter 2017. The purpose is to gather feedback from contractors of their interest in the project, the intended contract/timescales (based on a single stage lump sum scheme with specialist contractor design portions). It is anticipated that the successful contractor will work alongside the existing appointed enabling works contractor and take on agreed sections (work areas) as they become available for fit-out. They will also be expected to take on the discharge of various planning conditions and therefore demonstrable heritage fit-out and asbestos works experience will be relevant. It is anticipated that the fit-out will be undertaken over a 12 month period. For further information regarding the intended procurement please register your interest by emailing Mace at: 31675. OABMacePM@macegroup.com by 6.1.2017. This is anticipated to be a single- stage traditional tender implementing a JCT 2011 Lump Sum Contract (with amendments). The estimated total value of the works (see section II.1.5) is between 40 000 000 - 45 000 000 GBP. The procurement approach set out in this PIN is subject to feedback gained through consultation with the market. Interested contractors are required to register their interest by emailing: 31675.OABMacePM@macegroup.com by 6 January 2017. Upon doing so, they will be provided with further information on the project and a questionnaire including a list of feedback questions to enable finalisation of the award route. The deadline for responses to the feedback questions in the questionnaire is anticipated to be 13.1.2017.
