Tender description

Crisis Management Training: Develop and deliver a class room based training programme using credible scenarios, specific to industry with a variety of triggering events including accidental and deliberate incidents. Magnox Ltd (the Employer) operates 12 decommissioning nuclear sites across the UK, under Management & Operation contracts with the Nuclear Decommissioning Authority (NDA). Each site is subject to the conditions of a Nuclear Site Licence to ensure safe operation, with the Office for Nuclear Regulation acting as the industry regulator. These licence conditions cover all aspects of conduct and operation, including the provision of adequate and demonstrable emergency and security arrangements to deal with a broad range of events or incidents that could be initiated by a variety of triggers, that could be accidental or deliberate, and may result in both on-site and off-site consequences. The Employer already maintains robust procedures for elements of its business which may be affected by an incident such as emergency plans, security plans, reporting mechanisms, business continuity, pandemic planning, and emergency exercising. However, as the response organisation across sites become more flexible, an opportunity exists for the Employer decision makers and responders to further enhance their learning, utilising external contractors who can deliver situational awareness, incident log record keeping, delegation, swift, well informed decision making and a better awareness of emergency services inter-operability. Contractors of Crisis Management training are required to develop and deliver a class room based training programme using credible scenarios, specific to industry with a variety of triggering events including accidental and deliberate incidents.
