A solution is sought that will allow Radiology and PACs systems across Scotland to communicate data to allow the reporting of images across Health Boards. National Services Scotland is seeking to implement an integrated Clinical IT Connectivity solution which will link the existing PACS/RIS systems and will: provide a comprehensive real-time, unified information system allowing workers to work collectively on a national basis and across traditional Health Board boundaries. The solution should also have an automated cross boundary order communications (requesting) and vetting/justification system. The vetting justification system must allow two way communication with the requesting clinician.
