Tender description

Approximately 70 young people leave care settings provided by Leicester City Council each year and each is given a Leaving Care Grant of £2000, to buy essential household goods, enabling them to live independently. The Authority intends to create a competitive framework agreement of Suppliers who are able to supply and deliver goods to these young people and enable them to get the best value for their money. The young people will be supported by a case worker who will assist them with choosing and purchasing the goods that they wish to buy. Including but not limited to: — Washing Machine. — Cooker (including hob, oven and grill). — Fridge Freezer. Including but not limited to: — Electric kettle. — Toaster. — Alarm clock. — Smoke alarm. — Iron. — Vacuum cleaner. — Television. Including but not limited to: — Saucepan set (including frying pan). — Tea towels. — Dinner set. — Cutlery set. — Kitchen tool set (spoon, masher etc.) — Roasting tin set. — Knife set. — Tin opener. — Casserole dish. — Kitchen bin. — Ironing board. — Clothes airer. — Dust pan and brush. — Pack of four mugs. — Pack of four glasses. Including but not limited to: — Single bed and mattress. — Double bed and mattress. — Sofa. — Chest of drawers. — Wardrobe (2 door). — Coffee table. — Table and chairs. Including but not limited to: — Single duvet. — Single duvet covers. — Single fitted sheets. — Pillows. — Pillow cases. — Bath towels. — Hand towels. — Flannels. Including but not limited to: — Curtains. — Curtain poles. — Carpets and fitting as required.
