Tender description

Dorset County Council is seeking a sole supplier to deliver the supply and application of bitumen for the annual surface dressing programme. The programme is determined by Dorset County Council Highways Client annual budgets and is subject to annual variations and the established programme is also subject to amendments throughout the duration of the programme. The contract will be for a maximum duration of 7 years consisting of a minimum of 4 years followed by 3 x 12-month extension periods by agreement with both parties and subject to satisfactory performance. The estimated value of this contract is 5 000 000 GBP based on the maximum potential contract length of 7 years. This figure is given in guidance only and the Council cannot guarantee that this value of business will be generated during the life of the contract due to the variation in annual budgets. This contract will also be made accessible to South Gloucestershire Council however there is no guarantee that they will enter into this contract. The potential increase in contract value should they access this would be an additional 2 000 000 GBP (based on the maximum contract length of 7 years), creating a combined total contract value of 7 000 000 GBP.
