Tender description

Bathroom Pods for UCD Student Residences, Belfield Campus, Belfield, Dublin 4. The proposed Pods will be constructed from a pre-cast concrete frame (floor, walls and roof). The proposed works will be carried out over a number of phases, with the initial phase comprising of 2 student accommodation blocks and a third block, which will include amenity / student spaces and student accommodation. This phase will require approximately 1 000 Pods. The subsequent phases will accommodate the remaining 2 000 pods over 5 — 6 buildings. All buildings will range in height from 6 to 10 storeys. The proposed phasing remains subject to review and adjustment. The Pod manufacturer will be responsible for the Design and Construction of the Pods, which is to be in compliance with the current Building Regulations, applicable to Ireland. It is the intention of UCD to establish a Framework Agreement for the procurement of these Pods.
