B&NES Council is seeking to procure a licensed energy supplier which is able to provide a local tariff for the B&NES district which offer a low cost, fair and transparent deal for local residents and businesses, through a delivery model which maximises community benefit, and which offers particular benefits for low income households and those on pre-payment meters, includes renewable and locally generated power, and also enables cost recovery for co-marketing activity by the Council. The tariff will be co-marketed and co-branded with B&NES Council, with a fee (per-customer or scheme-wide concession fee) payable to the Council in return for access to the Council brand and marketing channels, capable of covering the Council's internal management and marketing costs.
