Who Speclialist Work With PMO specialists, Portfolio, Programme and Project Managers, Other Delivery Managers and Digital specialists, Business Support Unit team, Commercial and Finance specialists and Senior Management. What Specialists Work On PMO function for the secure systems portfolio, including multiple Programmes and Projects, working with specialist resources where appropriate and complying with mandatory, departmental standards and practices. Define and roll out PMO practices and functions across the Enablers systems portfolio, which contains a large and wide range of diverse technology tools and capabilities Engage with key stakeholders to understand their delivery plans and create Project Plans and other documentation as appropriate that take account of benefits, risks and issues, and dependencies. Working with other professions, develop an actionable portfolio plan for existing activities. Implement regular reporting, and effective stakeholder management mechanisms Where the Work Takes Place 2 Marsham Street London SW1P 4DF. Travel to other sites may be required. Early Market Engagement Working Arrangements Full time Office Hours with some travel for engagement meetings in the UK. T&S will not be payable for travel to sites within the M25. Additional T&Cs Skills & Experience Good, technical understanding of PMO discipline and able to use this to provide a rigorous and methodical framework to support project delivery. Demonstrable a establishing PMO functions for Projects, Programmes and Portfolios in multiple environments and business domains, tailoring existing standard and in house methodologies where necessary. Programme management office and knowledge of PMO services, including planning, change control, benefits management, information management, and understanding of risk and issue management. Highly organised – able to deal with multiple demands in a time-pressured environment Use of the Clarity toolset in supporting the planning process and roadmap definition across a Programme and Portfolio Demonstrable experience of managing a PMO team that supports both Agile and Waterfall delivery methods and techniques Knowledge and experience of Management Information, including statistical modelling, KPI definition, dash-boarding and reporting Ability and demonstrable experience of defining and enforcing appropriate governance models across stakeholder groups Planning from high level, strategic roadmaps to detailed project plans Strong drafting skills. Able to summarise high volumes of data into rich yet succinct summaries when preparing programme level and external reporting Strong presentation skills and an ability to convey complex information to a variety of audiences, some of which contain very senior colleagues Collaborative approach, able to build strong with stakeholders First class communication skills with the ability to build strong networks and ability to work well in a political environment Nice to Haves Proficient in use of MS Office Developed Vetting security clearance Background of working within or working with a technology change portfolio No. of Specialists to Evaluate 5 Cultural Fit Criteria Demonstrate commitment to excellence and improvement, for example through seeking actionable feedback and setting targets Transparent and collaborative when making decisions and recommendations Have a no-blame culture and encourage people to learn from their mistakes.
