Tender description

Orbit Group are looking to appoint supplier(s) to provide Cyclical Redecoration Works. The works will include the delivery of Cyclical Redecoration across properties owned and managed by Orbit East and South to approximately 18 000 properties. In addition, at the client's discretion replacement flooring coverings in communal areas may be included. This will consist of 2 Lots. Candidates should note that Orbit reserve the right to select which Lot will be awarded to the top placed contractor. Orbit will award Lot 1 in the first instance and Lot 2 will be awarded to the second placed contractor. Candidates can apply for one Lot or both Lots but will only be awarded 1 Lot. It is envisaged that Orbit Group Ltd will appoint one contractor per Lot and enter into contract with a maximum of two contractors as a result of this procurement, subject to award. The contract is for a period of 5 years with options to extend for a period of up to 3 years. Lot 1 — Area 2a covers approximately 6962 properties in London, Surrey and Kent. This Lot will also include Area 1 — East which covers approximately 5296 properties in Norfolk, Suffolk, Hertfordshire and Cambridgeshire. The annual estimated contract value 800 000 GBP excluding VAT. Candidates are to note that Orbit reserves the right to invite the successful contractor for either Lot 1 or Lot 2 to take over all or part of the works in the event that the contractor in either Lot 1 or Lot 2 is failing to perform or is unable to fulfil their obligations under the terms of the JCT MTC. Please be aware that the taking on of additional works will be based upon your tendered rates. Lot 2 — Area 2b covers approximately 7979 properties in Kent and Sussex. The estimated annual contract value is 600 000 GBP excluding VAT. Candidates are to note that Orbit reserves the right to invite the successful contractor for either Lot 1 or Lot 2 to take over all or part of the works in the event that the contractor in either Lot 1 or Lot 2 is failing to perform or is unable to fulfil their obligations under the terms of the JCT MTC. Please be aware that the taking on of additional works will be based upon your tendered rates.
