The future CIM system will be capable of supporting Public Health England in delivering high quality support to the documentation, assessment, management and evaluation of any case, incident, outbreak or health protection emergency across the country. Consequently the future system should be the authoritative source of case and outbreak evidence and decision making, thus enabling clinical audit and/or professional review to embed a learning approach that sustains and improves quality.
