Accountancy Support Services

Tender description

The Authority intends to establish an agreement with one service provider for the provision of accounting support services that will assist the Authority to provide reliable financial reporting and compliance with applicable laws and regulations. This Request for Tender (RFT) issued by the Sea Fisheries Protection Authority invites suitably qualified Accountancy firms: • To undertake accountancy support services for the Authority over the period November 2016 to November 2018. The contract will be for two years with a possible extension of two years as required. • Assistance with the preparation of year end financial statements in accordance with Financial Reporting Standards 102 and general accepted accounting principles. • Assistance in complying with the Code of Practice for the Governance of State Bodies. • To prepare ad-hoc reports outlining the results, conclusions and recommendations for review by the Finance Manager as required from time to time. • Provide support to the Audit committee on all financial matters should it be required. • To be available to report and attend meetings where called upon to do so. • To make available all relevant material and information to our internal and external auditors in accordance with the provisions of auditing standards. • Advise as to the implications of relevant Revenue legislation and in particular legislation pertaining to the Public Service. • May be required to provide on site support in SFPA HQ with suitable staff for specific tasking as required by the Authority. • To undertake any other work of a finance related nature as may be assigned by the Finance Manager.
