St. Helens Council Requirement for Custom Moulded Ear Protection

St. Helens council are looking for Ear Protection that will provide maximum comfort, superior fit and would allow ears to ‘breathe’ for one particular department. The requirement is for between 50-80 staff. A minimum lifespan of 5 years would be desired. The ability to wear with other personal protective equipment would also be necessary and ideally the PPE should not overprotect (so you would still be able to hear speech, shouted warnings and alarms for example). Suppliers should state whether training/fitting and maintenance for the product can be provided free of charge or indicate the cost for this service, as well as whether provision of a container/pouch for each pair of ear plugs would be included. The product would need to be easy to look after and easy to clean. Preferably with some form of unique reference number mapped to the individual, finding the individuals measurements for replacement pairs without having to repeat the ear impression process, again to save on time and cost. SNR options between 14 and 29 would be essential. Assistance with the selection of correct filter to provide suitable protection would need to be provided. An initial trial for 10 staff would be required, to evaluate the product/suitability prior to the remaining order balance being placed. Once bids have been received we will look at the most economically advantageous offer and have further discussions with the preferred bidder(s) Please submit a quotation (including lead time) for the above initial 10 staff and remaining balance along with a technical brochure for the product you are quoting for.
