Primary school construction work

Tender description

The Project is for the provision of a new build Primary and Nursery School for Braidside Integrated Primary School, Ballymena. The site is immediately adjacent to the current school, currently occupied by Castle tower School. The works comprise a new 14No Classroom school and single nursery, demolition of existing school building, car parking, footpaths and associated soft / hard landscaping site works at Fry's Road, Ballymena. The Contract will be the NEC3 Construction Contract 2013 Option A, Develop and Construct, Priced Contract with Activity Schedule. The new facility (circa 2 500 m2 inc. Nursery and SMA) will cater for the long term educational needs of Braidside Integrated Primary School's 440 pupils and will replace their existing inadequate and out-dated facilities at their Fry's Road Site, Ballymena. The accommodation will be as per the DENI handbook. Other associated works include, demolition of existing school, provision of car-parking facilities, hard-standing, play areas. The project is for the development and construction of a new school building for Braidside Integrated Primary and Nursery School constructed on the existing Castle Tower site at Fry's Road. The project will include the following works: site clearance including removal of existing school buildings and associated service and drainage; earthworks; construction of new fully serviced school building; site works and associated landscaping.
