Tender description

The Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS) is seeking to appoint experienced suppliers to provide delivery of the Energy Technology List Scheme and energy using products policy support services (including modelling, analysis and advice). Supplier Day: BEIS will be holding a Supplier Day in London on the 15.11.2016, in support of a proposed Invitation to Tender (ITT) for contract(s) to provide: Lot 1: Delivery of the Energy Technology List and Lot 2: Provide Energy Using Products Support Services and the Energy Technology List research programme. Please register your interest in attending the supplier day us via efficientproducts@decc.gsi.gov.uk Places will be allocated on a first come, first served basis as space will be restricted. Please also indicate if you would like to book a 15 minute slot to speak privately to a member of the BEIS team after the presentations. BEIS is seeking a supplier to manage and deliver the Energy Technology List (ETL) which promotes the uptake of energy-efficient plant and machinery. Areas of activity include: 1. Management of the annual update of the technology classes and the criteria list to BEIS, as well as of the successful bidder for Lot 2 below, through a programme of research. 2. Processing monthly additions to the products list, based on research and verification by the successful bidder for Lot 2 and issuing a certification mark for newly added products. 3. Developing and updating the content on the ETL website portal, updating the ETL database and answering telephone and online queries. 4. Monitoring and reporting, covering service delivery. Lot 2 Work strand A: Products Policy Support Services BEIS is seeking a supplier to provide policy support services to help it develop policies to improve the energy efficiency of energy using products. Areas of activity include: 1. Provision of technical briefing at key stages of the EU legislative process; 2. Develop cost benefit analysis using BEIS' products policy model; 3. Host/maintain the products policy model and evidence base repository; 4. Update the products policy model and improve functionality; 5. Respond to ad-hoc requests. Work strand B: Energy Technology List Research Programme and Technical Analysis. BEIS is seeking a supplier to conduct the ETL research programme and provide technical support in regard of Lot 1. Areas of activity include: 1.Conduct research to make a yearly recommendation on which technologies should be added/removed from the List, or that should remain with modified criteria. 2. Provide technical support in regard to Lot 1.
