Tender description
1. CIT is inviting tenders from medical practitioners for the provision of doctor- led general practice services to CIT’s student population (and possibly also to staff where capacity is available) on a contract for services basis. 2. The intention is for CIT to appoint a sole medical practice to provide the services required and the appointed practice will then be required to subcontract suitably qualified subcontractors to deliver any aspect of the services which it cannot itself deliver directly. However, depending on the nature of the tenders ultimately received CIT reserves the right to appoint a panel of medical practitioners to deliver services as and when requested by CIT. 3. The successful Tenderer shall be required to fulfill the registered medical practitioner’s role under CIT’s Registered Nurse Prescriber’s collaborative practice agreement and work with CIT’s other staff at the Medical Centre. 4. Requests for doctor appointments will be managed/scheduled by CIT’s nurses and/or administration staff. 5. The following services are required: a. On-site services at CIT’s Medical Centre during term time involving: • One doctor on campus to deliver a miscellaneous general practice surgery from: a. Monday to Thursday from 10.00-12.00 and 14.00-16.00, and b. Friday from 10.00-12.00. • Another doctor to support the delivery of specialist clinics in the following areas (with each clinic being held on separate afternoons from 14.00-16.00 Monday to Thursday): a. Sexual Health; b. Asthma; c. Sports Clinic; d. Vaccine. Where a Tenderer does not normally provide specialist clinical services relevant to these areas, the Tenderer must make this clear in its tender submission where required in this RFT (Part 3, Question 16). The Tenderer itself is responsible for engaging and managing any sub-contractors required to deliver any aspect of the services. The frequency and duration of each clinic shall be dependent upon demand. b. Off-site and out-of-term services 0
