Foynes to Limerick Road Improvement Scheme - Ground Investigation Contract 1 Foynes to Rathkeale

Limerick City and County Council, in conjunction with Transport Infrastructure Ireland (TII), is seeking to carry out a detailed ground investigation contract for the Foynes to Limerick Road Improvement Scheme. The proposed scheme is likely to involve both online and offline carriageway construction, new structures, pavement overlay works, drainage, earthworks, accommodation works, fencing, utility diversions and other ancillary works. Contract 1 of the Ground investigation works will be undertaken between Foynes and Rathkeale over a length of approximately 16km with an additional link road to Askeaton over a length of approximately 3km. The works will involve the drilling of cable percussion and rotary core boreholes, excavation of trial pits, excavation of slit trenches, pavement coring, dynamic probing, geophysical surveying, temporary traffic management, in-situ testing, laboratory testing and production of a factual report and a geophysical surveying report. The Contractor shall act as PSCS for the duration of the works.
