Dorset Healthcare University NHS Foundation Trust (DHC) is looking to appoint a number of training service providers to a framework, from which it can commission a diverse range of leadership development activities. There will be 4 lots. — Team Empowerment. — Empowering Leaders:Empowering Teams. — Leadership & management Modules. — Development of New Initiatives. Suppliers appointed to the appropriate framework lot will be contacted with a specific project brief for each commission and a mini-competition will be carried out amongst all suppliers elected to that lot. It will be the DHC's decision to take up leadership development services and we cannot make a firm commitment that approved suppliers will be guaranteed work. Team development. To provide training services for a range of options offered to team leaders to support team effectiveness, development and quality improvements. Empowering Leader: Empowering Teams. To provide training to support a leadership pathway for multi-professional Team Leaders in Band 5+ roles. The training will be designed to develop leadership qualities and behaviours set out in the HealthCare Leadership Model, and to integrate an action plan for quality improvement; ensuring the focus is on improving patient care. Leadership and management module. To provide training services that will be available to any Team Leader irrespective of banding. This could range from a Band 4 Admin Team Leader to a senior Band 8+ Leader, depending on their own leadership development needs and experience. Development of new initiatives. Providers will also need to have the flexibility to adapt their training programmes to keep in line with future organisational changes. Some examples of future Leadership programmes which will be targeted initially for Band 7+ leaders will focus on the following areas: — Setting Direction — Delivering with strategy — Dealing with challenging individuals — Creating an environment of openness and trust — Inspiring shared purpose — Leading with care — Evaluating information — Connecting our service — Creating and sharing the vision — Engaging the team — Holding to account — Developing capability — Influencing for results.
